MEET THE BAND
Prime Time keeps the dance floor full all night long with the top songs from the sixties to the present. We cover all genre’s and can tailor your event to your specific needs; including big band, motown, classic rock, pop, country, and disco. We are a “party band” that specializes playing songs you can dance to with top-flight sound, lighting, and staging. Prime Time does gigs in the US and other destinations for weddings, corporate events, charities and private parties.
Bobby Counts
Bobby is a studio musician who has played on many albums. With Catherine Chase, Bobby played at the top casino’s in Vegas. He played with Chuck Berry, was in the opening band for Frank Sinatra, and toured the US with the Bellamy Brothers. He ran the longest running jam session at The Keys Lounge for 10 years. Bobby is a singer, bass and guitar player.
Les Ledingham IV
Les is our lead singer and has been singing in bands for over twenty years. He brings a presence on stage with his dancing and energy. We call him Big Les because he is 6’ 8” and gets standing ovations every time we play. He won second place in the finals of the national karaoke contest in Vegas.
Danny Cochran
Danny has played on many albums as a studio drummer. He has played in bands with Dave Mason, Delbert McClinton, Mason Dixon, Anson Funderburgh, John Mayall and Jerry Williams, Dr. Wu, Band of Brothers, and Buddy Whitington. He has also played in movies: Ninth Life, China moon, and Idiocrazy, plus, he’s done voice work for the Bevis and Butthead TV show. He resides in Ft Worth.
Courtney Haines
Courtney is a graduate of Booker T. Washington School of the Performing and Visual Arts and holds degrees from TWC (BA, Music Performance) and the University of North Texas (M.M., Jazz Studies). A talented multi-instrumentalist, she was 10 years old when she performed on piano as the opening act for Jerry Lee Lewis. VH1 selected Courtney to perform in concert with Chicago. She was selected to play saxophone at Disneyland’s All-American College Band. Courtney has had many European concerts in Germany, France, and Sweden, plus, numerous Cruise Ship engagements. Courtney has toured with Willie Nelson, Denis Leary, The Coasters, Platters, and the Marvelettes. In 2014 she played saxophone in the band for Aretha Franklin and in 2015 with The Temptations. She currently teaches music at North Lake College and private Sax and Piano lessons.
Ryan Haines
Ryan was a USAF Premier Band trombonist, musical producer, and composer/arranger for 20 years. After retiring from the military , he moved back to Arizona as the Interim Director of Jazz studies at Northern Arizona University. A publish composer, he has released four big band albums of his own music. Ryan is an active performer, as well as teaching jazz trombone, composition and arranging as an adjunct faculty member at UT Arlington.
Garland Strong
Garland has been playing guitar with a host of bands for 45 years. He is the band leader of the Prime Time Band and has assembled a strong list of talented singers and musicians. He has lived in Ft Worth for 50 years and graduated from North Texas and UT Austin.
